Getting to Cyprus

Ercan Airport is located near Nicosia and is the main passenger airport on the Northern Cyprus side. The official Ercan website states that the airport is open 24 hours a day and that passengers can find information desks, taxis, buses, ATMs, and car rental facilities in the terminal.

Larnaka and Paphos airports are operated by Hermes Airports on the southern side of Cyprus. These two airports usually provide broader direct international connections for travelers arriving from outside Turkey.

If you plan to continue into Northern Cyprus, it is useful to confirm entry procedures and onward ground transport in advance depending on the airport you choose.

Older guide texts often mention AtlasJet, but the current airlines most commonly encountered by travelers on Northern Cyprus routes are Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, and AJet.
